“Transformers: Galactic Trials” is an upcoming Xbox racing game based on the famous franchise

Ready for a new Transformers experience? Outright Games brings Transformers: Galactic Trials for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S this October – and it is described as a “unique racing adventure game” for modern platforms.

A racing game is certainly a slightly different take on the Transformers IP, but it sounds like there are a lot of other little things going on here. The game will feature “rogue-lite elements” combined with “an intense mix of arcade racing and robot fighting.” That certainly sounds a bit different!

Anyway, you can check out the game’s debut trailer above. Here’s a little more information about the new title:

“After the evil NEMESIS PRIME steals the Prime Relics, the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS must embark on a fast-paced adventure to retrieve these artifacts and control the incredible powers they grant.

Fans can play as iconic AUTOBOTS or DECEPTICONS, including Bumblebee, Megatron, Elita-1 and Optimus Prime, and race around race tracks to collect relics and defeat enemies. Gameplay includes both traditional arcade racing in vehicle form and dynamic combat in bot form, as players must defeat their enemies and make it to the finish line.”

It’s important to remember that Galactic Trials isn’t a triple-A entry in the franchise like Activision delivered back in the day, but it’s still a unique take on the series that we’re definitely keen to try out.

Below are some early screenshots of Transformers: Galactic Trials ahead of the Xbox launch on October 11th.
