Joseph Quinn wishes he could forget that this interaction with Taylor Swift took place.

In the podcast “Happy Sad Confused,” the 30-year-old “Stranger Things” star looked back on some “embarrassing” moments he experienced after becoming a big star, including when he met the “Tortured Poets Department” singer.

“I met Taylor Swift once and said, ‘You’re Taylor Swift,'” he recalled. “She was very funny. She said something nice about the show and I said, ‘Oh, thank you. You’re Taylor Swift.’ I meant it as a compliment.”

Quinn added: “I remember thinking, ‘That was (expletive) stupid.’ But she was very cheerful about it.”

In a 2022 TikTok video recorded by a fan, Quinn previously said he met Swift at a Haim concert.

But Quinn joked on the podcast that he has “a lot to complain about” since he rose to fame with his role as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” which will be released on Netflix in 2022.

“It’s a series of embarrassing situations,” he joked.

The “A Quiet Place: Day One” star also said it was “incredibly humbling” to be taught how to present at awards shows by his “Stranger Things” co-stars, who, despite being much younger, had more experience with global fame than he did. “I definitely learned a lot from them,” he said.

Before Stranger Things, Quinn appeared in films like Overlord and British dramas like Dickensian, but his breakthrough role came with his role as Eddie Munson on Netflix, which led to major roles in major studio films like A Quiet Place: Day One and the upcoming Gladiator II.

Quinn will also join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. He will appear in the film alongside Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, which brings the comic quartet into the MCU for the first time.

Quinn remained tight-lipped about the highly anticipated film “Happy Sad Confused,” but hinted that Marvel is “trying to do something interesting with it.”

Will Joseph Quinn return as Eddie Munson in season 5 of Stranger Things?

Although Eddie Munson died in the season four finale of Stranger Things, Quinn has hinted that he might return for the final season of the series.

When Rachel Smith of Entertainment Tonight said she had a feeling viewers might see Eddie again, he responded cryptically, “Do you? Do you have a feeling? Hmm. I might have that too. Or maybe not. Who knows?”

Quinn was previously asked at a convention if he would return to Stranger Things and teased, “I know, but I’m not going to tell you.”
