Dua Lipa’s ’embarrassing’ reaction to a man singing for her at Glastonbury makes people laugh

Although she attracted a huge crowd for her headlining performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury at the weekend, chart-topping singer Dua Lipa has since become known for a particularly embarrassing interaction she endured on Sunday when a fan approached her.

In a clip that has since made the rounds on social media, the singer can be seen parading through the fields of Worthy Farm in Somerset, seemingly enjoying the other musical acts that took part in the star-studded weekend.

At that moment, she seemed completely taken aback when a fan approached her with a guitar and asked if he could play her one of his own songs for “30 seconds” to hear what she thought of it.

The aspiring musician, known online as Liam C, initially heaped praise on the red-haired hitmaker before telling her: “If you like it (my song), I just want to hear your reaction.”

Although viewers of the clip could not fail to notice that Liam had quite an impressive singing voice, it was the uncomfortably long duration of his performance that caused social media users to express dismay at him.

Dua looked visibly uncomfortable and didn’t seem to know when to intervene to stop him.

Finally, she touched Liam’s arm, making him pause, before telling him, “I love it, buddy. It’s so good,” and then she seemed to try to walk away from him.

However, as she tried to escape, the wannabe singer continued to ask her, “Can I hug you?”, whereupon she awkwardly backed away and gave him a one-armed hug.

Dua’s reaction has since gone viral on the internet, with some saying she “didn’t give a shit” when she tried to escape.

“She didn’t even let him finish, she couldn’t wait to run out,” one person joked online afterwards.

Another continued: “She thought it was like a chorus but he just kept going lmao.”

“She just wanted to get away,” noted a third, while another said: “Someone free her!”
