“Sweet Magnolias” star Heather Headley and her husband have the sweetest love story

Heather Headley has been a household name for some time now thanks to her continued success as an actress and singer/songwriter (she has a Tony And Grammy, thank you very much). She currently plays Helen Decatur in the popular Netflix series Sweet MagnoliasAnd even though we’re so familiar with her songs and roles, there are still some things fans may not know. For example, did you know that Headley has been married for 20 years?

The Trinidadian actress is married to Brian Musso, a former New York Jets wide receiver who is now an investment banker. Headley and Musso met in college when they both attended Northwestern University. They married on September 6, 2003, and the couple lives in a Chicago suburb with their three children: John David, Jordan Chase and their youngest child, a baby girl whose name has not yet been announced.

With three children and a successful career, their marriage seems to have never been better. Headley has expressed that her husband has been nothing but supportive of her career in the performing arts. In fact, he built her a recording studio in the backyard of their family home, which he completed in 2020. It is also reported that when Headley was cast in the musical, The Bodyguardfor which she had to be in London, Musso flew to England a whopping 44 times to visit her.

In January of this year, Musso helped open a new sports complex and community center in West Chicago. Headley wrote on Instagram that she was a #ProudWife after revealing that this had been a lifelong dream of Musso’s and she had worked tirelessly with various nonprofits in the area to make it a reality.

And what’s next for the couple? We’re not sure, but we know it’s going to be fabulous.
