Rochelle and Troy Manahan found love in loss | Lifestyle

On February 26, 2011, Troy Manahan was mourning the death of his great uncle when he encountered Rochelle Bryan, a divine beauty who provided both charm and comfort during the funeral. Their bond grew stronger over time and eventually led to marriage.

During the service, Rochelle remembered Troy’s frequent stares. “She was wearing this beautiful dark gray dress and had her hair down. I couldn’t stop staring at her,” Troy said. Wedding on an islandand added: “At that moment I knew I had found the love of my life. Her smile has captured my heart from then until now.”

Although Rochelle was in love with him, she found his attention neither disturbing nor tempting, as her main concern was to support her childhood friend who was also mourning the loss of her dear great-uncle.

The frequent glances of the man, whom she described as an attractive stranger, were unmistakable. “It wasn’t just me who noticed him staring at me, my friend Shanay saw it too,” she revealed.

Fascinated by her appearance, he stared at her throughout the entire service and continued to do so all the way to the burial site.

He was so intrigued that he had already approached her “sister from another gentleman,” who happened to be his cousin, to inquire about the mysterious friend present. “My cousin Shanay, Rochelle’s childhood best friend, had written a few words for me.”

Rochelle explained that another cousin of Troy’s, a name named Dalwayne, had been interceding on his behalf.

“He said to me, ‘My cousin wants to talk to you.’ And I said, ‘Suh, your cousin can’t talk?’ When we finally got to the meeting place, I saw Shanay and Troy talking and laughing. Then I said to myself, ‘I bet he’s been asking about me.’ Soon after, Shanay came over to give me his love-at-first-sight messages. Then she introduced us to each other.

After exchanging numbers, the two haven’t stopped talking since. Four months later, they became a couple. “I’m glad I attended that funeral because I got to meet my beautiful wife, Rochelle Manahan,” he added.

Rochelle expressed similar sentiments: “I never wanted to go to a funeral because I don’t like sad moments. I literally hate funerals, but God led me there for a reason. I don’t regret going because that’s where I met my future husband, who is also the father of my two wonderful children, Troy Junior and Tasani Manahan.”

Rochelle revealed that her husband is intelligent, hardworking, talented, reliable and very humble. She said he is one of the kindest and humblest people in the world: “Because of him and our little family, I feel like every single day of my life is perfect. He is a family man who always makes sure we are OK. One of the best qualities in a husband is that he is compassionate, can empathize with your feelings and always makes you feel loved and appreciated.”

Troy described her as beautiful, loyal, patient, independent, loving and irreplaceable. He admired Rochelle’s ambition and noted her strong leadership qualities. “She is very caring, loving, always does everything for everyone, is encouraging, kind and loyal. She always helps me make the best decisions. My beauty with brains, I wouldn’t trade my wife for any other woman in this world. God knows I wanted a real one by my side and I thank him every day for my beautiful wife.”

SHE SAID YES!

After nine years of dating, Troy proposed to Rochelle on April 16, 2021 at the Riu Ocho Rios Hotel. She was still celebrating her 27th birthday from the day before and went to dinner in high spirits, not knowing that the birthday cake would include a ring.

“When it was time to cut the cake, she walked in and saw a stunning silver ring. She put her hand over her mouth, stared at the ring with wide, beautiful, dreamy eyes and suddenly started to cry. I wiped her face and asked her if she would be my wife and without a doubt I knew the answer would be yes. I wiped the frosting off the ring and put it on her left hand. My wife deserves the world and as they always say, nothing beats God’s timing,” Troy said.

Rochelle planned the wedding with her sister Muesha, who she says helped ease the frustration and stress of the process. As for the wedding dress, the bride said “yes” to a flair with a thigh-high slit design from Unions Bridal Boutique.

On April 13, the soulmates joined their hands and hearts at the City View Hotel in Smokey Vale, St. Andrew and became Mr. and Mrs. Manahan.

The bride and groom both stated that their wedding day was magical. “The most beautiful moment for me was when I turned around at the ceremony and saw my beautiful wife in this stunning white dress. Her father was holding her hand and I couldn’t wait for him to give it to me. She marched in to a song that definitely describes her entire performance, Shane Filan’s Beautiful in white.”

Happy from start to finish, the bride said her most beautiful moment was when she and her husband made this strong promise to each other.

Her first dance with Spend my life with you by Eric Benet featuring Tamia, Rochelle recalled how much she loved the romantic atmosphere she and her husband immersed themselves in together.

“As we slow danced, looked into each other’s eyes, smiled and laughed and enjoyed our big day, we fell in love all over again,” Ms. Manahan added.
