BOISE – The Idaho Talking Book Service (TBS) has unveiled a new website, https://idahotalkingbooks.org/, designed to be user-friendly for current and prospective clients as well as their caregivers.

TBS is a free audiobook library service for Idaho residents who cannot read standard print due to visual impairment, blindness, or other disabilities. The new website provides an easy-to-navigate platform where users can learn about TBS, check their eligibility, access the application, and explore the online catalog.

The service is completely free and offers titles for download or mail delivery at no cost to the user. TBS offers over 100,000 audiobook titles in both fiction and nonfiction, approximately 70 magazines, and a selection of locally recorded audiobooks and magazines related to Idaho and the Northwest.

“We are excited to offer a TBS website that showcases the features of the service in an easily accessible way,” said TBS Program Director LeAnn Gelskey. “We hope the new website will provide prospective TBS customers with another means to learn more about this valuable service that can be a lifeline for visually impaired Idahoans who are isolated.”

For more information, visit https://idahotalkingbooks.org/ or use the TBS player at your local public library. The Idaho TBS is administered by the Idaho Commission for Libraries and is state-funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
