Wine Down on Market hosts Pettit book signing | News, Sports, Jobs

PARKERSBURG – A well-known author will speak and hold a book signing at a downtown Parkersburg venue on July 14 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Linda Sandel Pettit, Ed.D., will speak at Wine Down on Market and discuss her memoir. “Lean into the curves.” Pettit is the winner of the 2024 Maxy Book Award for Self-Help and Inspiration.

The Amazon bestseller has received much praise for its narrative. At its core, it is a story of forbidden love that transcends the boundaries of religious beliefs and dogma, exploring themes of devastating loss and spiritual wisdom, and chronicles her journey through suffering and death in search of meaning, transcendence, rebirth, and new love.

Pettit has lived in Arizona for many years and is excited to return to West Virginia, where she feels her true home. She practiced psychology for nearly 20 years in Parkersburg, Clarksburg and Morgantown and lived in Calhoun County.

“West Virginia holds a special place in my heart and I am thrilled to share my story with the community that has shaped so much of my journey,” She said.

Pettit will speak“What does love have to do with it? Everything!” Following her talk, she will be available for a book signing of her book, which will be available at a reduced price.
