Joseph Quinn had the funniest (and most understandable) reaction to the meeting Taylor Swift.

In Monday’s episode of Happy Sad Confused Podcast with Josh Horowitz, the A quiet place: day one The 30-year-old star announced that after his breakthrough as Eddie Munson in Stranger Things In season 4, he experienced a number of embarrassing moments, including one with 34-year-old Swift.

“I met Taylor Swift once and said, ‘You’re Taylor Swift.’ She was very funny,” Quinn said. “She said something nice about the show (Stranger Things), and I said, ‘Oh, thank you. You’re Taylor Swift. I meant it as a compliment.'”

He continued: “I remember thinking, ‘That was damn – that was stupid.’ But she was very cheerful about it.”

Horowitz followed up and asked how they were doing now, to which Quinn replied that he and the “Karma” singer were “excellent” and “on great terms.” He jokingly added that he would be featured on the next album – but they were still working out the details.

Swift’s advice in that awkward moment (if Quinn had asked) would probably have been simple, shake off.

What a return to Hawkins, Indiana, for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things — currently filming in Atlanta — Quinn recently spoke to ET and said that his character was suffered a premature death in the last season he would like to return.

“I love those guys! I’d love to say hello to them,” Quinn said, adding that there was a “high chance” he would return to the set for one final appearance.

Should he really make the effort to Stranger Things Gang, before production officially wraps – more than eight years after the show first aired on Netflix – Quinn must find some time in his increasingly busy schedule.

In addition to his upcoming role in Marvel’s highly anticipated Fantastic Four Movie — in which he will appear as Johnny Storm, one of the title characters — Quinn also has a short break between the press tour for A quiet place: day one And Gladiator IIwhich will be released later this year.

On Monday, Vanity Fair published first photos of Gladiator IIin which Quinn plays one of two “sadistic” co-emperors in Rome – the other co-emperor is played by ThelmaFred Hechinger. The film also stars Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and Connie Nielsen.

Gladiator II will be in theaters on November 22nd. Fantastic Four The debut is scheduled for July 25, 2025.
