Joseph Quinn reveals what a stupid thing he did when he met Taylor Swift

Are stars also fascinated by stars? Stranger things have happened.

A quiet place: day one Star Joseph Quinn talks about the embarrassing but relatable moment when he met Taylor Swift for the first time. The Stranger Things The actor recalled the “embarrassing” encounter during Monday’s episode of Happy Sad Confused Podcast when asked if he had experienced any embarrassing moments since becoming famous.

“I met Taylor Swift once and said, ‘You’re Taylor Swift.’ She was very funny,” Quinn explained to host Josh Horowitz. “She said something nice about the show (Stranger Things), and I said, ‘Oh, thank you. You’re Taylor Swift.’ I meant it as a compliment.”

When Horowitz laughed and pointed out that it Is a compliment, Quinn continued: “It’s definitely a compliment, and I remember thinking: That was damn stupid. But she was very happy about it.”

So much so that Quinn joked that he would be featured on one of her future albums. “We’re trying to figure it out right now,” he joked, although he admitted that Swift hasn’t “reached out” on the matter yet.

Quinn has not explicitly stated where or how he met the pop star, but they have a common connection in Sadie Sink. Quinn, who played fan favorite Eddie Munson in Season 4, Stranger Thingsstarred alongside Sink, who plays Max in the hit series. Sink, in turn, starred in Swift’s self-directed short film “All Too Well.”

Sink made such an impression on Swift that the 14-time Grammy winner penned a tribute to Sink as part of Entertainment Weekly’s 2022 Entertainer of the Year honors, in which she wrote, in part, “She is a force to behold and a joy to know. I will continue to feel just as lucky watching her from afar as she lights up the screen, tells new stories, and shows us new sides of herself: multifaceted and brilliant, dark and crazy, sparkling and full of promise. There is so much in this artist, and we get to watch her boldly reveal it. Everyone says, ‘Thank you, Sadie.'”
