Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce announced that Netflix had approached him for a role in the documentary series. Recipientalthough he turned down the opportunity.

“After (Patrick Mahomes) (quarterback), I was asked about it,” Kelce said during an appearance on Kissing with the boys (h/t Awful Announcing). “I – I don’t know. I’d rather just play along, man. I’m already done with the podcast and everything. I’m sick of the reality shit, dude. I’m out of that shit.”

Mahomes appeared in the Netflix documentary series quarterback alongside fellow players Kirk Cousins ​​​​and Marcus Mariota, as the show included a closer look at each passer as he makes his way through the 2022 NFL season.

Recipient will field five big-name pass catchers for the 2023 season, although Kelce will not be among them. The players include Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions. San Francisco 49ers teammates George Kittle and Deebo Samuel will also be in the mix.

Kelce already has experience with reality shows, as he appeared in the dating show in 2016 Catch Kelce, which ran for one season. However, he seemed to have no interest in returning to the genre.

The tight end currently hosts the New heights Podcast with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, who has 2.41 million subscribers on YouTube.

Even though not all documentary cameras were on hand to capture all the behind-the-scenes action, the 34-year-old’s 2023 season was still impressive.

Kelce caught 93 passes for 984 yards in the regular season and added 355 yards and three touchdowns in the playoffs as the Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl.
