What happened to these famous Hollywood babies?

After it was reported that Toby Papworththe young actor who played the little wizard boy in the last Harry Potter film was paid just £40 for his role, we decided to find out what happened to other famous baby faces that have appeared on the big screen.

Superman (Small child)
Aaron Smolinski made his acting debut at the age of only three in the role ofBaby Superman‘ in ‘Superman: The Movie’ in 1978. He then appeared in ‘Superman: II’ and played the boy next to the photo booth in ‘Superman: III.’ This was a great start to an acting career that lasted nearly 30 years. He starred in ‘MVP: Most Valuable Primate,’ ‘Wishmaster 3,’ and ‘Don’t Look Down.’ His TV acting resume includes ‘JAG’ and ‘Lonesome Dove.’

Jack and Sarah
Baby Sarah was played by Bianca and Sophia Lee in the 1995 romantic film

Superman (Baby)
Seven-month-old Lee Quigley played “Baby Kal-El” in the 1978 film Superman before he arrives on Earth (played by Aaron Smolinski at the time). As film and comic fans alike know, Kal-El is the young alien sent to Earth from his home planet Krypton. In the film, he appears alongside Marlon Brando while being held by his mother, played by Susannah York. Sadly, Quigley died in March 1991 at the age of 14 while sniffing an aerosol can.

Three men and a baby
Twins Michelle and Lisa Blair both played the role of little Mary in the film. Lisa, generally considered the more successful twin in Hollywood, played young Sarah in 1999’s Morella. The film follows two investigators who investigate the story of a lab fire and discover that the owner may have set the fire himself in order to kill his own daughter. The pair have since retired from films, perhaps put off by media attention and Tom Selleck’s once wildly bushy beard. It’s unclear whether the pair will return for Three Men, One Bride (if they ever do).

Darling, now I have a giant baby
In this 1992 film, mad inventor Wayne Szalinski (Rick Moranis) accidentally gives his two-and-a-half-year-old son a particle beam, causing the child to grow up to 45 meters tall every time he comes into contact with electricity. The baby is played by twins Daniel and Joshua Shalikar. Both went on to study communications at Ramapo College of New Jersey, majoring in design and interactive media.

Trainspotting

Although we couldn’t find out the real name of the actor who played the neglected and then utterly terrifying baby in the cult film ‘Trainspotting’, rumors say that the young star was shortlisted for the role of the Sun in children’s show ‘Teletubbies’, but lost out to seven-month-old Jessica Smith.
