“Smile 2” gets teaser, new song from star Naomi Scott

June 18 (UPI) – Paramount Pictures gives an insight into the new film Smile 2.

The studio released a teaser trailer for the film starring singer and actress Naomi Scott on Tuesday.

Smile 2 is a sequel to the 2022 psychological supernatural horror film Smile The film was written and directed by Parker Finn, who also wrote and directed the sequel.

Scott plays Skye Riley, a global pop sensation who is about to embark on a new world tour when increasingly horrific and inexplicable events begin to happen to her.

“Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and pressures of fame, Skye is forced to confront her dark past in order to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control,” an official synopsis reads.

Other roles include Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raul Castillo, Dylan Gelula and Ray Nicholson.

Scott also released a song for the film as her character Skye Riley: “Blood on White Satin”.

Smile 2 will be in theaters on October 18th.

The original film starred Sosie Bacon, Kyle Gallner, Jessie T. Usher, Robin Weigert and Caitlin Stasey.
