Jordan Love’s fiancée has a new contract.

Will the Green Bay Packers quarterback get his soon?

Ronika Stone has extended her contract with the San Diego Mojo, a professional volleyball team in the Pro Volleyball Federation league. The 26-year-old middle blocker is the first player to sign a new contract with the Mojo for the 2025 season.

It’s probably no surprise that the Mojo have signed Stone for another year. Stone, who led the team in scoring and played all 24 games for the Mojo, was named to the PVF Second Division team.

The San Jose native played a major role in helping the Mojo advance to the four-team playoffs in the inaugural PVF season, which ended in May.

The new contract comes about a week after Stone and Love got engaged while on vacation in Italy.

When will the Packers sign a contract extension with Jordan Love?

Next, Love could celebrate his own contract with the Packers.

Before his first year as a starter for the Packers in 2023, the team signed Love to a one-year contract extension worth $22.5 million in 2024, essentially giving him a two-year window to prove he is the long-term solution to the quarterback position.

Love only needed one season to show that he is that player.

Love, who sat behind Aaron Rodgers for the first three years of his career, has only started 20 games in his NFL career.

But he has shown he has the game to lead the franchise into the future. His play got the Packers into the playoffs last year after a late-season surge, and in his first postseason game – a 48-32 road win over the Dallas Cowboys – he had a near-perfect performance. His passer rating of 157.2 against the Cowboys was the fourth-highest passer rating in a game in playoff history.

With his 32 touchdown passes in the regular season, he was the second best in the NFL and he also consistently delivered excellent results on the big stage.

Love, 26, declined to discuss details of contract negotiations during organized team activities last month. Love has been present in Green Bay throughout the offseason program.

However, he is expected to get a contract at the top end of the quarterback market. Jared Goff, 29, signed a four-year, $212 million contract extension ($170 million of which is guaranteed) with the Detroit Lions in May, making him the second-highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.

Before the start of the 2023 season, 27-year-old quarterback Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals signed a five-year, $275 million contract, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history with an annual salary of $55 million.

During the NFL’s annual owners’ meeting in Florida in March, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst expressed confidence that he would be able to extend Love’s contract. The team had already held “preliminary discussions” with Love’s team at that point, Gutekunst said. Love could have signed an extension on May 3 at the earliest.

“In general, I think the four years with him have given me a lot of confidence in him and in the way his teammates and the organization view him. I think that definitely gives me a lot more peace of mind than any other situation,” Gutekunst said.
