Beabadoobee explores Japan in a cute “Ever Seen” video

New single comes before the singer’s upcoming album, This is how Tomorrow moveswill be released on 16 August

In her sweet new video for “Ever Seen,” Beabadoobee gives her fans a glimpse into her recent trip to Japan. On Monday, the musician released the music video for the song, a taste of her upcoming album.

On Instagram, the singer wrote that the video was her “favorite video yet” and thanked the video’s director (and her boyfriend) Jake Erland, who is “the most talented person I know.”

“Thank you for filming me from your perspective and thank you for having eyes 👁👁 higher than I’ve ever been,” she wrote. The video shows Beabadoobee singing along to the song while walking through the streets of Japan, riding the subway, playing with silly cats, eating delicious snacks, and using a payphone.

The new track is the second single since the release of “Take a Bite” earlier this year. The singles will be released ahead of their upcoming LP, This is how Tomorrow movesThe album, produced by Rick Rubin, will be released on August 16. On Instagram, she hinted that there would be “one more (single) before the album.”

Beabadoobee will go on tour this fall to promote the new album, stopping in cities such as New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver before heading to Europe.

“I guess it’s about becoming a woman,” she said in a press release about the album earlier this year. “I think I’m more conscious of my actions in these songs. In my previous records, I always sang about my reaction to other people’s behavior, as if I was blaming them. But on this record, I accept that my guilt is inevitable, too.”
