Los Angeles, are you ready to reach new heights with us? Collider is pleased to announce that we have partnered with IMAX and XYZ Films to offer our readers the opportunity to Skywalkers: A Love Story the way it’s meant to be seen: on a giant IMAX screen! This critically acclaimed documentary debuted at Sundance 2024 and will be streaming on Netflix this month, but before that it will be playing in IMAX theaters for a special week.

Skywalker is a seven-year report on Angela Nikolaus And Ivan Beerkus‘S death-defying romance on their roofs in six countries. Are you wondering what “rooftopping” is? It involves someone gaining access to buildings, often restricted areas like in the documentary, to take photos or videos in dangerous locations, such as cranes extending from skyscrapers or “massive urban cliffs.” Together, this pair have built a social media following through their own art form they call “skywalking,” which involves climbing the world’s tallest buildings and performing acrobatic stunts. In Zimbalist’s documentary, Nikolau and Beerkus prepare for their highest conquest yet – Malaysia’s Merdeka 118, a massive structure that soars over 2,000 feet and holds the title of the world’s second tallest skyscraper.
