Paws and Play: Boss Fight Studio launches Garfield action figures

In collaboration with Paramount, Boss Fight Studio will release a collection of figures inspired by the legendary comic character Garfield.

The new collection includes the first fully articulated Garfield action figures. “The laziest cat in the world has conquered comic strips, TV specials, several TV series and movies, but until now Garfield and his friends have never had their own action figures,” says Andrew Franks, co-founder and chief creative officer at Boss Fight Studio.

Characters in the collection include Garfield, Odie and Nermal. The Garfield figure features 25 points of articulation and includes a tray of lasagna with a removable part, interchangeable expressions and his teddy bear Pooky.

The Odie figure is 17-way posable and includes a bowl of dog food, interchangeable mouthpiece with tongue hanging out, and interchangeable tail with wagging effect. The Nermal figure is 17-way posable and includes interchangeable closed eyes, a ball of yarn, and a box with Nermal inside.

In addition to the new scale action figures, Boss Fight is also working on a 1:1 scale Garfield giant figure. This figure is a life-sized version of Garfield designed for home display.

Boss Fight Studio’s new Garfield action figures are now available for pre-order on the Boss Fight website and are expected to be released next year. The licensing deal to develop the figures was brokered by FanGirl Consulting & Brand Management.
