Olympic hopeful is daughter of famous ex-Buffalo Bill

She is the daughter of one of our favorite former Buffalo Bills and can now officially say she is an Olympian.

The Olympics are about to kick off this year in Paris, France. They’ll be held from July 26th to August 11th, and you can count on us to get a lot of coverage. There’s no doubt that people love watching the games themselves, but they’re usually big fans of the athletes’ stories, too.

The people of Buffalo will love this.

Jasmine Jones has qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics

Over the weekend, hurdler Jasmine Jones fulfilled a dream by qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris with a time of 52.77 seconds in the 400m hurdles. That was her personal best, and when compared to the best times in American history, there are only three runners with better times. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone holds the record with 50.65 seconds (she also holds the second, third, and fourth best times). The next best is Dalilah Muhammad with 51.58 seconds. These two runners hold the top ten times in the country. Anna Cockerell ran 52.68 seconds.

Jasmine Jones is the daughter of former Buffalo Bills safety Henry Jones

You may remember Henry Jones from his days with the Buffalo Bills. He was a safety selected by the Bills in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft.

He was the first and remains the only Buffalo Bill to score two pick-sixes in one game. This happened in 1992 in a game against the Colts. The second pick-six was over 80 yards long and resulted in a touchdown.
