Paddy Macrae, creator of the series “Irreverent”, signs with Rain

EXCLUSIVE: Paddy Macrae, creator, showrunner and EP of the Peacock series Disrespectful, has teamed up with Rain to represent him.

He continues to be represented by talent agencies RGM Artists and Gochman Law.

Disrespectful Released on Peacock in 2022, it followed a Chicago criminal who must pose as a pastor in a small Australian coastal town to hide his true identity.

Macrae is currently working on his own four-part drama series. The wild, along with several other original projects.

He began his career in television as a full-time assistant to Tony Ayres in script development at Matchbox Pictures, working on projects such as Family law (ABC Australia), Breakdown (ABC Australia/Netflix), Seven types of ambiguity (ABC Australia) and barracuda (ABC Australia/BBC). He was a screenwriter for the second season of Wanted.

Macrae said: “It is a great pleasure to be working with Rain Management, with whom I share a deep passion for challenging stories. Thanks to Screen Australia’s Talent USA program, I was able to travel to meet Rain and I feel so energized to work on this next international stage of my career.”
