Rob and Liv’s relationship has taken unexpected turns recently, mainly due to tensions in the house caused by Andrea’s departure, but it seems the two are keen to get to know each other better.
There may be something in the air for Rob and Liv on Love Island USA.
On the June 30 episode of the Peacock dating show, Rob and Liv talked about how they’ve started to see each other differently in recent days. The two grew closer through the whole ordeal of Andrea’s elimination on June 23, as they corresponded about Leah’s alleged role in it. Rob dated Andrea before she was eliminated. He was angry when she left while the other girls in the house had not developed romantic relationships. Previously, Rob dated Leah before he became smitten with the bombshell Andrea and decided to leave with her, much to the annoyance of Leah.
Leah turned on Connor, which caused further tension between her and JaNA, but the girls are friends again. The peace didn’t last long, however, as Andrea was eliminated. Then it became a blame game of who planned her downfall. Leah assumed her innocence and said she took a back seat, while Liv didn’t believe her innocence and Leah confronted Liv.

Liv and Leah settled their argument, with Leah apologizing, which some fans didn’t approve of as they didn’t blame Leah. Conversely, there were also fans who thought Liv had done nothing wrong. For a moment, it seemed as though Leah and Rob were going to rekindle their relationship. But that didn’t happen, and there were new surprises: Cassidy Laudano and Nigel Okafor joined Rob and Liv. The two couples had the fewest votes. Due to the support of the islanders, Cassidy and Nigel went home, leaving Rob and Liv alone.
It remains to be seen if the two will get back together and give it another go, as they are both single now and have spoken about their interest. Liv initially called off their blossoming relationship because she felt Rob wasn’t putting in the effort and wasn’t being honest. Fans had thoughts about the pair’s new dynamic.
One fan on X/Twitter said, “They want me to dislike Liv and Rob but the chemistry is there and I’ve always liked a good slow enemies to lovers progression.” A second fan said, “This whole time we thought Rob and Leah would be the breakout but it was really… Rob and Liv???” Another said, “Liv and Rob would actually work and the story is there but Casa is coming so I’m not making too much of a point.” A fourth fan said, “Rob and Liv are trying to build that enemies to lovers narrative.”
