Former member of the Israeli war cabinet, Benny Gantz, threatened European ambassadors in “Israel” on Monday that Lebanon would face consequences if it failed to prevent Hezbollah from attacking “Israel.”

“There is a state and a government over there,” Gantz said in a briefing organized by ELNET, the European Leadership Network, “and that state cannot take power from both sides unless it wants to break it on its own knee.”

“If we have to break it, we will,” he added.

“Lebanon has not yet paid the price of this war, but it will soon feel it. It must make Hezbollah stop,” he said.

Shortly before, Gantz had threatened that “Israel” could “plunge Lebanon into complete darkness and destroy Hezbollah’s power within a few days.”

Tensions between Lebanon and Israel have escalated in recent weeks, with the Israelis escalating their attacks on Lebanese territory and threatening to send the country “back to the Stone Age.” As a result, media outlets around the world are speculating about the possibility of an all-out war.

Iran: “Harmful consequences” if Israel attacks Lebanon

Iranian interim Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani warned Israel on Monday of “harmful consequences” if the occupation forces escalate their attacks in Lebanon and stressed Hezbollah’s willingness to fight.

In a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Bagheri Kani said: “They (Israel) should know that every new mistake they make in Lebanon will create new conditions at the regional level to the detriment of the Zionists, who cannot make up for their strategic defeat with murder and crime.”

He also praised Hezbollah’s unique power and its readiness to deal with Israel’s ongoing aggression in Lebanon, warning that any invasion would have devastating consequences for the occupying forces.

Fidan, for his part, praised Iran’s immense support for the Palestinian cause and its condemnation of “Israel’s” crimes in the Gaza Strip. He added that the occupation forces’ policy is based on the continuation of tensions throughout the region, which will have a significant impact on neighboring countries.

The Iranian minister stressed that Israel’s ongoing aggression in Lebanon is a continuation of its crimes in the Gaza Strip, which have revealed its barbaric character.
