Philadelphia’s Creamy Country Song celebrates America’s love of cream cheese

Today, undisputed industry leader Philadelphia Cream Cheese is making history by releasing its first-ever song on Spotify to celebrate Americans’ love of cream cheese. Conceived by creative agency GUT Miami and titled “Land of the Cream Cheese,” Philly’s first-of-its-kind serenade leverages tactics like streaming on Spotify/Apple Music, social UGC, and OLV for a country music-inspired track ahead of the most patriotic weekend of the year, when cream cheese sales skyrocket.

While cream cheese brands don’t typically venture into the music space, Philly couldn’t go unnoticed by the over 132 million TikTok videos featuring cream cheese-filled recipes. Ahead of July 4, “Land of the Cream Cheese” is tapping into America’s notoriety for putting cream cheese in and on just about everything. From chicken to veggies to pasta to coffee, the fan-created UGC confirms what Philly has known for over 150 years: Its cream cheese can make anything creamier.

Philly enlisted rising country star Travis Yee (1 million TikTok followers) to bring the patriotic lyrics of “Land of the Cream Cheese” to life in the recording booth.

“As an iconic brand that has been around for more than 150 years, Philadelphia shares our fans’ passion for proudly using our cream cheese to make everything creamier. We’re excited to recognize our fans’ passion in a way like never before and let them know that we see and appreciate their devotion to cream cheese,” said Keenan White, Senior Brand Manager for Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

“Love for cream cheese is something to be proud of, so we decided to sing about it. This song celebrates all the ways to enjoy Philadelphia cream cheese and does so in a unique way for an iconic brand,” said Andy Tamayo, Creative Director at GUT Miami.

“Land of the Cream Cheese” is available today on all major music platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
