Taylor Swift fans criticize the interaction between Julia Roberts and Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift’s fans sharply criticized Julia Roberts for being a bit too pushy towards Travis Kelce in a VIP tent at his girlfriend’s Eras Tour concert in Dublin on Sunday.

In a video circulating on TikTok, the 56-year-old “Pretty Woman” star was seen rubbing the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s shoulders and tickling his chest while chatting and laughing with him.

Roberts – who has been married to cinematographer Danny Moder since 2002 – then grabbed Kelce by the arms as she said something that made him burst into loud laughter.

The emotional encounter seemed to be mutual, as the NFL player warmly stroked the actress’ arms and had a big smile on his face.

However, some social media users found the interaction highly inappropriate.

“I feel sorry for Travis :/ He is obviously uncomfortable,” one person wrote on X.

“What the hell is wrong with JR? Why is she scratching his chest and bumping into him?? He’s so uncomfortable pushing her away and she’s holding him up. This is totally weird,” a second person agreed.

“Wow, so handy? The scratching? What’s her problem?” wondered a third viewer.

“Her physicality towards him is embarrassing!!,” added another.

Others, however, found the conversation sympathetic and defended the “Notting Hill” star.

“She’s old enough to be his mother so I hope she treats him more like a son. Seems kind of motherly,” wrote one fan.

“Please. Travis is not uncomfortable. Julia clearly has a crush on TNT (Taylor and Travis). She has a great sense of humor so she’s probably joking with him,” another supporter said.

“Julia says, ‘I’m just so happy for you guys,'” claimed one lip-reading X-user, adding, “I don’t think she was a Joe (Alwyn) fan either.”

Kelce appeared at the last of Swift’s three shows at Aviva Stadium after attending a teammate’s wedding in California the night before.

Swifties were convinced the athlete had surprised the 34-year-old pop star as she appeared stunned when she noticed him in the crowd.

The couple reunited after the show and Kelce was seen applauding his girlfriend after another outstanding performance.

He has become a fixture on Swift’s blockbuster world tour, jetting around the globe to see several of her shows since the 2023-24 NFL season ended with his Super Bowl victory in February.

The co-host of the podcast “New Heights” even accompanied Swift on stage when she performed at Wembley Stadium in London last weekend.
