Sounds win against Jacksonville in series finale

Wow, what a blast in Jacksonville! The Nashville Sounds showed some grit, fought back from behind and pulled the Jumbo Shrimp out of the woodwork with a 7-6 victory. This win was sweeter than a cold drink on a hot summer day, folks!

The Sounds brought out their best hitters in the third inning and hit not one, but TWO triples! That’s the third time this season they’ve done that – that’s three strikes of lightning!

Now it gets exciting. The Sounds were trailing after the seventh inning and almost eliminated. They had a dismal 5-34 record when they were behind so late. But Isaac Collins had other plans and hit his tenth home run of the season in the eighth inning to turn the tide. Collins makes life difficult for Brewer Hicklen and his 13 home runs!

Kevin Herget shut the door and got his second save of the season. This guy has been outstanding for Nashville and can boast a 4-0 record and a 3.08 ERA. He makes the batters out there look ridiculous and has 31 Ks in just 26.1 innings!

And let’s not forget Vinny Capra, who has been hotter than a firecracker lately. He picked up a yard and took two, capping a series in which he went an incredible 10-for-21. That’s the kind of heat that will melt the ice in your cooler!

The Nashville Sounds are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and play at First Horizon Park. Single game tickets and season tickets for the remainder of the 2024 season are on sale now. For more information, call 615-690-4487 or email (email protected).
