Ice Cube shares his love for Baltimore Ravens and Orioles

Because the Baltimore Ravens play in a relatively small market, they don’t have as high-profile a fan base as some of the NFL’s most successful teams. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have celebrities cheering them on.

World-famous rapper and actor O’Shea Jackson, better known as Ice Cube, is known for his love of West Coast sports teams, which makes sense considering he’s from Los Angeles. However, his love of sports extends to the East Coast as well.

During an appearance on “The Ryan Ripken Show,” hosted by the son of Baltimore Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr., Ice Cube explained his love for both of Charm City’s professional sports teams.

“I definitely felt a little love for Baltimore,” Ice Cube told Ripken. “You know, for me the hat is awesome, the bird on it is awesome. And your dad was incredible.”

However, Ice Cube is not the biggest Baltimore fan in his family. He also revealed that his son Shareef Jackson is also a huge Baltimore fan and even praised the greatest Raven to ever play.

“My son, who was sitting next to me, everyone thinks that’s O’Shea Jr., but it’s actually my son Shareef, and he’s one of the biggest Ray Lewis Ravens fans. For him, Ray Lewis and the Ravens were the focus,” Ice Cube said. “He’s still a huge Ravens fan, loves Lamar (Jackson) and the team. So, you know, we still care about Baltimore. You know we love it.”

It’s nice to hear an entertainment legend like Ice Cube publicly supporting the Ravens, and hopefully he and Shareef will have a championship to celebrate soon.
