Netflix users say new series are so good that they “delete the app forever” when they are canceled.

A new series on Netflix is so good that fans are threatening to delete the streaming service if there are no more seasons.

And considering how diverse Netflix’s content is, the fact that users are willing to miss everything for a single series is truly remarkable.

The series comes from Great Britain, but is far removed from the staid world of Bridgerton.

Instead, the new series follows a group of people living in modern-day South London, simply going about their lives, when they suddenly realise they have superpowers.

It may sound a bit far-fetched, but fans were completely captivated by the premise after the new show dropped on Netflix.

The main roles are played by Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Calvin Demba and Josh Tedeku, among others. The series was created by British musician and filmmaker Andrew Onwubolu, who is better known by his stage name Rapman.

In an interview with Variety, Rapman explained that he “always loved superhero stuff,” but growing up in South London, the stories he saw in movies “never reflected reality” for him.

“I was asked what I wanted to do next and I said I wanted to make a science fiction movie where someone from our homeland gets superpowers. And that was the first time I said that out loud,” Rapman recalled.

The filmmaker soon turned his dream into reality and created a superhero show that reflected “reality.”

“I grew up in south London and saw people like the characters in the show,” he said.

Titled SupacellThe series features an all-black cast – something Rapman has never seen before in the superhero space.

“I didn’t think this would happen with a Netflix show,” he said. “I remember thinking, if this show actually gets made and they let me do it the way I want to do it, with the blood, the violence, the shock factor, then this could be a show that Apple could say in the future, ‘We’d love to have one of these!'”

“Or Amazon says they should make an ethnic sci-fi film too. Because when has there ever been an all-ethnic cast from Britain, not even all black? I’ve never seen one.

“I just hope that if it goes well, it will open a lot of doors. And that’s why I feel the pressure, because it’s not just me – it could change British television.”

With Supacell With Rapman now available on Netflix, it’s safe to say that Rapman’s hopes of the film “doing well” have been realized.

Fans have rated the show 10/10 and many are already begging for more episodes.

“I literally watched the entire series waiting for the second… it was a 10/10,” wrote one viewer on LADbible’s Netflix Bangers Facebook page.

Another added: “They really need to release part 2 ASAP. If Netflix cancels this I’m deleting the app forever…”

You heard them, Rapman – make season two happen!
