Belarus continues to support Russia in the war against Ukraine

Belarus continues to support Russia in its all-out war against Ukraine and therefore remains a threatening direction for Ukraine.

This was stated by the spokesman of the Ukrainian border guard, Andriy Demchenko, on Ukrainian television, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“The main provocation was committed by Belarus on February 24, 2022, when it opened its border to Russian troops, and, unfortunately, even now Belarus continues to support the terrorist country in this all-out war that is being waged against our state. Therefore, the border with Belarus actually remains a threatening direction for us, and we continue to strengthen it both technically and in fact with the necessary number of our forces and means to prevent any actions that could be carried out from Belarusian territory,” Demchenko said.

Regarding statements from Belarus about “increasing tensions” on the border with Ukraine, he noted: “This is not the first time that Belarus has provided such information that Ukraine poses a threat. Ukraine is getting stronger.”

“This is another round of this information operation that Belarus will conduct with the support of Russia. I can also remind you that since 21 (June) they have been conducting a check of the combat readiness of their units. So perhaps this is one of the components of once again shifting the responsibility onto Ukraine,” Demchenko added.
