The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it had fired a drone at a “vital target” in the occupied Palestinian town of Umm al-Rashrash in Eilat province.

The Islamic Resistance said in a joint statement that the operation was carried out in solidarity with Gaza and in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians, including children, women and the elderly.

The collective vowed to continue attacks on enemy strongholds in the region.

It is worth noting that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to conduct operations against Israeli assets in all occupied territories.

More recently, the Islamic Resistance has cooperated with the Yemeni armed forces and conducted joint operations with the Yemeni military targeting Israeli naval infrastructure and Israeli-affiliated vessels in the Mediterranean Sea.

Iraqi resistance supports Lebanon in case of Israeli war

Earlier, the Coordination Committee of the Iraqi Resistance issued a statement on Sunday after a meeting of its member organizations in which the committee announced that it would step up its operations if “Israel” and the United States began a full-scale war against Lebanon.

The committee met to discuss threats made by Israeli politicians against Lebanon and concluded that if war were to begin against Lebanon, American interests in Iraq and the region would become legitimate targets for American resistance fighters.

“The massacres and genocides against (the Palestinians) supported by (the United States) require a firm stance towards the countries that are normalizing,” the statement said.

It stated that states that have normalized their relations with the Israeli occupation should not receive oil or money transfers.

The statement specifically questioned the feasibility of the Aqaba-Basra oil pipeline, which would connect the oil-rich southern Iraqi region of Basra with Jordan via Saudi Arabia.

The committee argued that the project would not only drain Iraq economically, but could also serve as a starting point for a “malign project” that would pave the way for a normalization of Baghdad’s relations with the Israeli government.
