Taylor Swift loves Simone Biles’ floor routine

Taylor Swift has become more and more athletic since she started dating Travis Kelce. First she infiltrated the NFL (remember the Swiftie Bowl?). Then there was all this talk about a possible investment in Formula 1: Per Page Sixshe and “the guy from the Chiefs” were reportedly planning to attend this year’s Monaco Grand Prix. And now the pop star seems to be watching gymnastics for a number of good reasons – chief among them being the sport’s leading figure, Simone Biles. All season, the 27-year-old has been performing a fan-favorite floor routine to Swift’s “…Ready for It?” in a nod to her impending Olympic comeback. On Friday night, Biles performed her routine on the biggest stage of the year so far, scoring a 14.850 at the Olympic qualifiers to rocket to the top of the leaderboard and catch Swift’s eye, too.

“I’ve seen this so many times and I’m still not ready. She is ready though,” Swift tweeted on Saturday in response to a video from NBC Sports. There were also emojis. Lots of them. Three clapping hands, a gold medal, an American flag and a red heart. Patriotism!

Of course, the two women have met before. Biles is married to former Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens and often supports him at games (even though he has since been traded to the Chicago Bears). In December, We weeklySwift and Biles met when they attended the Chiefs’ game against the Packers to cheer on their boys. It seems they hit it off so well that Biles has gone full Swiftie for her Olympic campaign. In fact, after Sunday night’s trials, it’s all but certain that Biles will make the Olympic team. Maybe Taylor is her lucky charm…not that someone like Biles needs luck.
