Which teams are still in the College World Series this year?

THe NCAAMen’s College World Series is in full swing. 12 games have been played up until Wednesday, five teams have already returned home and only the best three are still in the race. The final series will take place this weekend and there will be a new champion on Sunday the 24th.

The elimination games began on Friday the 14th, with victories for North Carolina and Tennessee, 3-2 about Virginia and 12-11 over Florida State. On the 15th, Kentucky beat North Carolina State 5-4 in 10 innings, while Texas A&M defeated Florida 3-2.

On the 16th, Florida State beat Virginia 7-3and thus ended the tournament, while Tennessee eliminated North Carolina. 6-1. Florida eliminates NC State 5-4and Texas A&M continued its winning streak with a 5-1 against Kentucky, both games on 17.

On Tuesday, the 18th, Florida State eliminated North Carolina with a 9-5 Victory. The game between Florida and Kentucky had to be postponed until Thursday, the 19th, but in the end the Gators defeated the Wildcats 15-4which causes them to be eliminated from the tournament.

The teams still in the competition

The complicated MCWS System still has three teams alive: the Tennessee VolunteersFlorida State eliminated 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Meanwhile, Texas A&M faces Florida on Wednesday evening.

If that Alligators win, they will force a second duel on Thursday, 20. If the Aggies If they win, they will go straight to the final series against the Volunteers.

The final series will take place from Friday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 24th in the Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. Friday’s game is at 7:30 p.m. ET, Saturday they play at 2 p.m. ET, and Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
