LEBANON – Sunday’s Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway has been postponed due to weather.

The race was initially stopped after 137 laps due to a lightning strike after a lightning strike was reported within eight miles of the track. A thunderstorm cell is approaching the track from the northeast.

The entire race weekend was sunny with hot temperatures and a high heat index at the circuit south of Gladeville. However, clear skies on Sunday morning and early afternoon gave way to isolated storms.

This is the fourth running of the Ally 400 since the NASCAR Cup Series returned to the Nashville area in 2021. This will be the second of those four races to be affected by weather; Chase Elliott won at the track in 2022 in a race that started in the afternoon but finished under floodlights.
