The Jordan Avi Ogman Foundation

The Jordan Avi Ogman Foundation was started by parents David and Stacey Ogman to save the life of 7-year-old Jordan Avi Orgman. After years of struggle and delayed development, Jordan was diagnosed with TECPR2, a fatal, neurodegenerative, debilitating genetic disease, and the clock is ticking. Saving the lives of Jordan and the other children with TECPR2 can potentially lead to breakthroughs in other neurodegenerative brain diseases. TECPR2 and many well-known neurodegenerative brain diseases — such as ALS, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s — are suspected of sharing something in common: failure, impairment, and/or abnormalities in the autophagy process (the way the body clears damaged cells to regenerate newer, healthier cells).
