Taylor Swift’s “Folklore” continues to stand out from her discography

As always, Taylor Swift owns a lot of real estate on Billboards album charts this week. The superstar regularly occupies more spots than most other artists on a variety of the company’s album-focused lists in America. This time, only one of her releases manages to climb every ranking it appears on, while all the others slip on at least one list.

folklore gains ground against a trio of Billboard Charts in this context. The Grammy winner improves in the Billboard 200 and shoots from number 48 to number 46 on the list of the most consumed LPs in the country.

At the same time, folklore has also risen on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. Its surprise fall in 2020 brings it to number 11 on the former and returns to the top 5 on the latter, landing at number 5.

Swift has nine other tracks that appear on at least two charts, as well as one more that only appears on a single list. Her collections usually sell and stream well enough to appear on multiple lists, especially if they are not categorized as pop, as they are then also eligible for country or rock rankings.

Only one other Swift release manages to climb to more than one chart position. Alwayswhich followed folklore delayed by only a few months and introduced without much warning, exceeds the score on two of the three points shown in this picture.

The Grammy-nominated effort climbs from number 116 to number 109 on the Billboard 200. It also climbs the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, where it moves up one notch to number 30. In the more specific Top Alternative Albums ranking, the same title remains at number 15.

Swift’s only other album to climb does so on the singles charts it appears on, and it’s the only track to appear on just one chart. Call rises from number 58 to number 50 and returns to the top quarter of the Billboard 200. And this despite the song already having spent 300 weeks on this competitive list.
