Taylor Swift reacted to Simone Biles’ victory at the Olympic qualifiers

Taylor Swift may have legions of Swifties around the world, but the “Cruel Summer” singer isn’t immune to fangirl moments. Case in point: Simone Biles used Swift’s song “…Ready For It?” to take first place in the first half of the women’s qualifying competition for the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Qualifiers, and Swift took to social media to reveal that she wasn’t ready for Biles’ talent display.

On Friday, June 28, Biles took advantage of the 2017 Call for her floor routine, where she even nailed the notoriously difficult triple-double, among other tricky tricks—the Olympic gold medalist became the first woman to pull off the move at the 2019 U.S. Gymnastics Championships. She also used Travis Scott’s song “Delresto (Echoes)” during her floor routine. The NBC Olympics & Paralympics account shared a video of the set on X (formerly Twitter), and Swift took to the comments section to applaud the seven-time Olympic medalist’s winning routine.

“Watched this so many times and I’m still not ready,” she wrote. “But she’s ready for this.” The “Down Bad” singer added American flag and medal emojis, suggesting Biles will add to her impressive medal collection at this year’s Olympics.

Swift has been running her own Olympic marathon, playing in one city after another on her Eras tour. This Friday, the “Karma” singer charmed fans in Dublin, just days after bringing boyfriend Travis Kelce on stage for his Eras tour debut in London.

With the Eras tour running until December, it’s unlikely Swift will be able to watch the Paris Olympics, but it’s safe to assume she’ll be cheering Biles on from afar.
