Chabad singer and composer Shmuel Honey has teamed up with the singer David Taub for a powerful and hopeful duet called “Shomer Yisrael.” The song was written by Honig just days after Simchas Torah, the day of the horrific and brutal massacre of Jews in the South.

“Our hearts are worried and we can’t stop thinking about the hostages and their families,” Honig said. “I sat there alone and imagined what I would do if I were one of the hostages in the terror tunnels myself, what would I plead with Hashem? And from my aching heart came this song.

“May it be Hashem’s will that we manage to get out of all our situations and reach the final and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu very soon, Amen!”
