Onewheel launches the off-road GT S-Series Rally Edition and lowers the price of the base model

Future Motion Inc., the innovative force behind the Onewheel, is proud to announce the launch of its newest and most advanced model yet, the Onewheel GT S-Series Rally Edition. Designed for those looking to adventure on the toughest trails, this high-performance board features several upgrades that promise a smoother, more controlled ride over rough terrain.

The GT S-Series Rally Edition features a factory upgraded 6″ motor hub that increases tire volume and improves ride quality. This board features a new performance-focused tire that offers superior traction and durability, but the highlight is the introduction of Recurve Rails, developed in collaboration with the Onewheel Factory Pro Team.

Recurve Rails use an innovative asymmetric rail geometry that provides improved control and leverage without compromising ground clearance. This design ensures riders can tackle the most challenging trails and steepest climbs with ease. This feature has been rigorously tested by the Factory Pro Team and has demonstrated impressive capabilities in conquering mountain bike terrain and singletrack.

Kyle Doerksen, CEO of Future Motion and creator of Onewheel, was excited about the new model: “The original GT S-Series was already a favorite among Onewheel fans due to its power, speed and torque. With the addition of Recurve Rails, the Rally Edition sets a new standard in comfort and control. Our Factory Team Riders were able to tackle the most challenging terrain with ease and we are excited to see how this innovation pushes the boundaries of riding progression.”

The GT S-Series Rally Edition will cost $3,500 and will be the first to ship with these asymmetrical rails. Additionally, a version of the GT S-Series with recurve rails and the standard 6.5-inch motor hub will be available for $3,200. For current GT S-Series owners, Future Motion is offering a factory service upgrade to install recurve rails for $450, including shipping and installation.

In conjunction with the launch of the Rally Edition, Future Motion is reducing the price of the original GT S-Series by $300, making it available for $2,900. This price adjustment is the result of the company’s streamlined production processes, allowing the savings to be passed on to customers.

Jack Mudd, Marketing Director, explained, “Initially, we had to speed up parts delivery to keep up with the high demand for the S-Series. Now, with mass production, we can offer those savings to our drivers. The GT S-Series offered an exceptional driving experience for $3,200, and at $2,900, it’s even more affordable.”

Since the debut of the first Onewheel in 2014, Future Motion’s product line has expanded to include models such as the Onewheel Pint, Pint X, Onewheel GT and the GT S-Series, each equipped with unique features for different riding styles.
