Shania Twain is the latest Glastonbury star to experience sound problems when she took the stage on Sunday.

It was clear that the 58-year-old iconic singer was having trouble with her earpiece as she appeared to be having trouble with pitch and timing.

Shania made a very dramatic entrance alongside drag queens and dancers before quickly running into problems.

Horrified fans rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to slam the behind-the-scenes crew, feeling nothing but sympathy for ruining Shania’s big moment.

They wrote: “Absolutely terrible sound mix for Shania!”: “The sound at Glastonbury was terrible on BBC, yesterday Cyndi and now Shania? Maybe BBC just hates gay icons.”: “The sound is pretty bad for Shania.”: “Looks like Shania knows there’s something wrong with the sound.”

“Excuse me, why does Shania Twain sound so terrible on Glaso?”: “Can someone please save Shania? She’s clearly having audio issues and nothing is helping.”: “What’s wrong with Shania Twain’s audio?! She’s really having audio issues. This is absolutely awful.”

Previously, fans had accused other artists of performing pantomimes at Glastonbury after Dua Lipa hit back at critics for her headlining performance.

After the performance, PPop star Dua Lipa defiantly denied allegations of pantomime after some fans accused her of playback singing during her performance at Glastonbury.

“I don’t do pantomime,” said the Grammy winner as she toasted her success with her boyfriend, actor Callum Turner (34), in an exclusive bar on the Worthy Farm festival grounds.

Numerous other artists, including Coldplay and Camilla Cabello, have come under fire for allegedly mimicking the lyrics of their own songs, with fans sharing their theories on social media.

This came amid further complaints about the sound quality; Cyndi Lauper’s performance on Saturday was also plagued by problems.

At Coldplay’s record-breaking performance on Saturday night, frontman Chris Martin wowed the crowd after bringing an old friend to perform with them.

Michael J. Fox came on stage in a wheelchair to play guitar for Fix You and Humankind.

It was a milestone for the band, who made history by becoming the first act to headline Glastonbury five times. Chris Martin, 47, described Michael as the “main reason” they are a group.

The British band made their debut at the legendary festival in 1999 in the New Bands Tent before headlining in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2016 and now holds the record of five headline appearances at the festival.

While some were thrilled by the surprising, historic musical moment, some more cynical viewers suspected that Chris Martin may have been miming the lyrics of his songs rather than singing them.

One wrote: “There was a lot of pantomime and playback at this Coldplay performance. The bassist is in danger of being fired.”

A second commented: “There’s a lot of cheating and miming going on here… Lots of tracks playing in the background.”

And a third commented: “People who were upset about Taylor Swift’s band doing mime or using backing tracks would be completely surprised to see Coldplay’s input list.”

Camila Cabello also came under the scrutiny of attentive fans and delivered a rapid performance during her appearance on Saturday.

The 27-year-old singer, who rose to fame as a member of pop girl group Fifth Harmony, sent temperatures soaring as she took the stage in a voluptuous top and hot pants.

Nevertheless, the country star looked sensational when she entered the stage

As she walked on stage in the raunchy ensemble, one of Camila’s background dancers, dressed as an animal, could be seen cooling her down by rubbing a popsicle all over her body.

The American-Cuban singer rose to fame at the age of 15 as part of Fifth Harmony on The X Factor US before starting her solo career four years later.

While the audience’s eyes popped out of their sockets at this hot performance, some couldn’t help but notice that something was wrong and accused the singer of miming her songs.

One person posted on X: “Camila Cabello mimes her entrance, beautiful #Glastonbury #Glastonbury2024”.

A second wrote: “You were shit, you fake playback Camilla Cabello.”

Both Coldplay and Camilla Cabello were accused of miming the lyrics of their songs during their performances at Glastonbury.

This came amid further complaints about the sound quality; Cyndi Lauper’s performance on Saturday was also plagued by problems.

Festival-goers had trouble understanding the vocals of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun singer as her voice was drowned out by booming bass.

After a few songs, 71-year-old Cyndi sang “Rocking Chair,” and she seemed to struggle with her pitch and timing.

The sound problems seemed to be resolved when she got to her hit “I Drove All Night.”

However, during her 1984 song “Time After Time,” Cyndi stumbled again as she fell behind the band, suggesting she was having problems with her in-ear monitors.

Dua Lipa was the first to be accused of playback by viewers of the BBC’s coverage of the festival on Friday night.

One viewer wrote on X: “Imagine paying that much money to go to Glastonbury and stand there and watch Dua Lipa mimic the song without even singing it. How awful.”

This comes after Cyndi Lauper’s performance at Glastonbury on Saturday came under criticism after significant sound problems disrupted the set.

Camilla Cabello, who delivered a rapid performance during her appearance on Saturday, has also come under the scrutiny of attentive fans.

Another wrote online: “Dua Lipa performs a pantomime act on Top of the Pops.”

A third said: “Dua Lipa has some catchy tunes but I’m pretty sure she’s backing vocals. Sounds like live singing but I’m just not convinced she’s singing it live ‘in the moment’.”

After her performance, however, she clarified the matter and emphasized that she never does pantomime.
