Taylor Swift responds to Simone Biles for using her song in Olympic qualifying competitions

LONDON: Taylor Swift has expressed her admiration for Simone Biles after the Olympic gymnast chose Swift’s song “Ready for It” for her floor exercise at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Qualifiers.

Biles, known for her stunning performances, incorporated Swift’s song from the album Reputation into her routine, using it specifically for the first part of her floor exercise on the second day of the trials. The routine showcased Biles’ exceptional athleticism, including her trademark triple-double tumbling pass, widely considered one of the most challenging in the world.

Swift responded to NBC’s Olympic and Paralympics tweet featuring Biles’ routine, expressing her joy and support on social media platform X. “Watched this so many times and I’m still not ready. But she is ready for it,” Swift tweeted.

While Biles captivated audiences with her gymnastic skills, Swift continued her hugely successful Eras Tour, recently performing in Ireland after wowing audiences in London and Scotland. Her London concerts attracted particular attention when the Prince of Wales and his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, attended one of her shows. The royal family even took a happy selfie with Swift during the event.

Swift’s friend Travis Kelce opened up about his experience with the royals on his podcast New Heights. Kelce described the royal family as “absolutely a joy to meet.” He went through the etiquette with humor, considering whether to bow, curtsy or just shake hands the American way. “We wanted to be polite,” Kelce noted.
