Taylor Swift loves Simone Biles’ “Ready for It” routine at Olympic qualifiers

Taylor Swift is clearly ready for Simone Biles to be included in the Paris Olympic team.

Throughout the competition season, Biles, 27, has performed a floor routine to Swift’s 2017 song “…Ready for It?” Call. The gold medalist rocked the number on the first day of Olympic qualifying on Friday, June 28, impressing the 34-year-old pop star.

“Watched it so many times and I’m still not ready. She’s ready for it though,” Swift gushed about X on Saturday, June 29, responding to NBC Sports’ coverage of the choreography. Swift also added three clapping emojis, as well as ones depicting a gold medal, an American flag and a red heart.

The Swift-inspired routine earned a score of 14.850, helping Biles to a spot at the top of the all-around leaderboard for the next round of qualifications. Biles will compete in another round of preliminary rounds on Sunday, June 30, to earn a spot on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team.

Swift and Biles first met in December 2023 when they both attended the Kansas City Chiefs football game against the Green Bay Packers to support their respective partners. (Swift is dating the Chiefs’ tight end.) Travis Kelcewhile Biles married former Packers Safety Jonathan Owens in April 2023. The 28-year-old Owens has since been traded to the Chicago Bears.)

“It’s a little weird because I think, ‘This is definitely not my performance, but I know how excited (the fans) are,'” Biles recalled to Vanity Fair in January about people who hosted a meeting between Swift and Biles in an NFL suite. “There was no selfie and I’m not sure they were really happy that the Packers beat them.”

The Packers ultimately won 27-19, but the Kansas City team took the overall championship and won its second consecutive Super Bowl trophy in February.

The NFL is currently in its offseason, with 34-year-old Kelce spending most of his free time with Swift during her international Epoch Tour concerts this summer. Kelce has not attended all of his girlfriend’s performances because he has a busy schedule with other business commitments and NFL practices.

Biles also has a supportive partner: Owens is currently in Minneapolis to cheer her on during her Olympic qualifying competitions, and he surprised her with a series of Louis Vuitton gifts before the second round.
