Tom Cruise celebrates at Glastonbury after his estranged daughter Suri drops her father’s famous surname

It is not uncommon to see celebrities at Glastonbury, such as Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung and Coldplay Frontman Chris Martin among the regulars in the VIP area.

On Saturday night, Tom Cruise was seen in the crowd next to his Impossible mission co-star Simon Pegg. The 61-year-old actor reunited with the 54-year-old British comedian to see Coldplay perform on the legendary Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

The couple were seen enjoying the music from a private balcony, which also Sex education Star: Gillian Anderson.

Tom kept a relatively low profile at the Somerset Festival, wearing a casual black collared shirt and jeans.

His appearance comes just a week after the Hollywood icon performed on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in London, the same day his estranged daughter Suri, 18, graduated from LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

Earlier this month, it came to light that Tom’s only daughter, whom he has with ex-wife Katie Holmes, had dropped her father’s prominent surname.

In a program at her graduation ceremony, Suri Cruise performed under the name “Suri Noelle.” This seems to be the first time the aspiring musician has officially distanced herself from her father’s surname.

Suri celebrated the milestone with her mother Katie by her side, who looked stunning in butter yellow wide-leg pants and a cream sweater at her daughter’s graduation ceremony. Her conspicuously absent father, meanwhile, was in London partying on the Eras tour.

The relationship tension between the father-daughter duo was allegedly caused by his devotion to the Church of Scientology.

Tom has been a committed member of the church since 1986, reportedly after being converted by his first wife, Mimi Rogers.

During a 2013 defamation trial in which Tom sued a media company for claiming he had abandoned his child, a lawyer asked in court whether his ex-wife Katie divorced him to distance Suri from the world of Scientology.

Tom revealed: “That was one of the claims, yes.” Tom and his daughter Suri were last photographed together at Disney World in 2012.
