Sam’s Club is a division of Walmart that allows its members to shop at any of its nearly 600 stores.

On regular working days, paying members can shop from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

However, Plus members can shop from 8 a.m. during opening hours.

Sam’s Club announced that it will change its hours of operation on July 4 as follows:

  • Plus members – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Club members – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sam’s Club is closed to all customers on New Year’s Day, EasterThanksgiving and Christmas this year.

JUST FOR MEMBERS

Sam’s Club offers two membership options with an annual fee.

The cheaper membership option is a club membership, which costs $50 per year.

Benefits include same-day delivery, instant savings and gas savings.

Plus membership costs $110 per year and includes additional benefits such as free shipping, free curbside pickup and early shopping.

WHERE

If shoppers need alternative shopping options, there are other retailers that are open on the holidays.

Retailers like CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Home Depot are keeping their doors open.

Walmart, Target and other retail giants will remain open during regular business hours.

Aldi, Kroger and Trader Joe’s will also be open, but with limited hours.

However, another membership giant, Costco, will be closed on the holiday.

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

The retailer recently came under criticism for changing its delivery options.

Starting August 19, Plus members will only receive free shipping when they order $50 or more.

Before this date, there was no minimum order value to ensure free delivery.

Many buyers believe that the memberships are not worth the high price.

This causes people to downgrade their Plus membership or cancel it altogether.

A Walmart executive admits a major flaw in Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark, leaving it facing an uphill battle against Costco’s Kirkland brand.

In addition, a Sam’s Club customer announced a boycott after the store stopped stocking frozen foods due to a problem with the cooler.
