Popular singer of the 90s Abhijeet Bhattacharya‘s voice was synonymous with Shah Rukh Khan. He has lent his voice to songs like ‘Tauba’, ‘Woh Ladki Sabse Alag Hai’, ‘Baadshah O Baadshah’ and ‘Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha’ among others, in which SRK featured and which were hits. However, one song that stands out in their collaboration is Yes Boss‘Chaand Taare’, one of Shah Rukh’s most popular songs in his three-decade-long illustrious Hindi cinema career. Abhijeet recently spoke about the recording of the song and its popularity, which seems to reflect SRK’s journey to fame.

Referring to religious compositions like ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’ and ‘Mangal Bhawan Amangal Haari’, Abhijeet Bhattacharya noted that these started as songs and later became ‘Aarti’ and compared the impact ‘Chaand Taare’ has had on people over the years. According to Abhijeet, ‘Chaand Taare’ is an ‘anthem’ for ambitious people that continues to inspire and motivate those who dream big. “…She is an industrialist, a politician, a celebrity and, above all, she has achieved success through her success in the restaurant industry.Shenke liye anthem hai ye (Similarly, Chaand Taare is like an anthem for every industrialist, politician, celebrity and even the restaurant owner who strives for success in his life),” the singer added.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who recently sang ‘Thame Dil Ko’ in Panchayat 3, revealed all about the making of the iconic song.Ye bana kaise I can not believe Javed Sahab ne likh diya (I am still speechless how this came about when Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics), he recalled. The singer then recalled Akhtar saying:My dear friend, I wish you a happy birthday bhai, hum kuch nahin kar sakte humne likh diya hai (Job done, my friend. Now weave the magic with music. There’s nothing more I can do – I wrote the lyrics.)” Abhijeet then praised the composer duo Jatin-Lalit effusively for creating this masterpiece.
