SZA gives a taste of her new album with a song excerpt at the BST Hyde Park headliner set

SZA gave a taste of her upcoming album, “Lana,” with a preview of an upcoming single at her headlining performance at BST Hyde Park, ahead of her Glastonbury 2024 performance.

Last night (June 29), SZA asked the crowd, “New album, are you ready?” before performing a snippet of an unreleased song. Shortly after, her social media accounts shared a teaser clip of the song, titled “Storytime.”

I know you’ve told stories about me. Most of them were horrible. All of them true. Here are some for you“ she wrote, quoting the lyrics.

Last February, SZA released a new single titled “Saturn,” which is also set to appear on “Lana.” Earlier this month, she debuted an unreleased song, currently titled “DTM,” at an Apple Live event in Brooklyn, New York.

The upcoming album was first announced by SZA last September, when she revealed that the originally planned deluxe edition of “SOS” had become “a whole different album” that would include “7-10 songs.” In March, she posted an update on “Lana” after songs that were slated for release were leaked without permission. “‘Lana’ deserves more time and music that no one has heard before,” she wrote. “Seems fair. God bless.”

Her BST Hyde Park set included fan favorites such as “Love Galore,” “All the Stars,” “Drew Barrymore,” “Kiss Me More,” “Kill Bill,” and “Supermodel” — all part of her newly curated set that she is expected to bring to Glastonbury 2024 this weekend.

“Today was my first day performing with the new set. You guys are like my second home,” she told the crowd at BST Hyde Park as she finished her set with ’20 Something’. “I’ll keep coming back here. You guys are the best crowd. I love you. Goodnight!”

In addition to SZA, Glastonbury 2024 will feature Shania Twain, Janelle Monae, The National, Two Door Cinema Club, Avril Lavigne, Justice, Nia Archives, James Blake, Alvvays, Romy and more performing this weekend.
