Coldplay welcomed a number of special guests on stage during their historic performance at Glastonbury 2024.

The British band led by Chris Martin played on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday (June 29), one night after Dua Lipa impressed the audience with her own headline set – despite a sound problem during the BBC broadcast.

Coldplay last performed at the festival in 2016, when they were headlining for the fourth time. With their fifth set, they are now the band with the most headlining appearances.

To celebrate the occasion, Coldplay enlisted the help of other famous stars. Martin and his bandmates were initially joined by Spanish-American singer-songwriter Victoria Canal, who helped with vocals on “Paradise,” and they also previewed a brand new collaboration with Little Simz and Burna Boy, titled “And So We Pray.”

Little Simz, who had played the Pyramid Stage hours earlier, was present for the performance, as were Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna and the Bolton String Orchestra – but Burna Boy appeared in a VT behind them during their play.

The song will appear on Coldplay’s 10th studio album, Moon Musicwhich is scheduled to be released on October 4th.

Towards the end of their set they were joined by Back to the Future Actor Michael J Fox for two songs: “Humankind” and “Fix You”.

Their performance clashed with the performances of Disclosure on the Other Stage, Jessie Ware on the West Holts Stage and Gossip on the Woodsies Stage.

An eclectic lineup will take to the sprawling festival’s various stages this weekend – but organiser Emily Eavis has put an end to any rumours of “big surprises”. Here’s the full lineup and set times for Glastonbury 2024.

One of the highlights on Friday was the Sugababes – but their performance on the West Holts stage attracted such large crowds that there were reports of fans fainting during their performance, while security denied others access to avoid overcrowding.

The festival will be rounded off on Sunday (June 30th) by SZA.
