Traci Braxton’s husband says her famous sisters treat him like a bad husband when it comes to organizing his late wife’s funeral

• Surratt held a wake for Braxton last week, but her sisters and mother were not present.

Kevin Surratt claimed that the sisters of his late wife Traci Braxton were treating him like a bad husband because he was planning a memorial service that they said was against her wishes.

“I was with my wife … more than I was with anyone in the world,” Surratt told Page Six. “I know my wife, and when she got cancer, we started talking about funeral plans, and I was still trying to figure out treatment for her.”

He added: “I went to every single one of their doctor’s appointments throughout our marriage. That’s how we were, and now they treat me like a (good-for-nothing) husband.”

Earlier this month, Braxton died of esophageal cancer at the age of 50. As Insider previously reported, Surratt confirmed her death to TMZ, saying, “We have come to the point where we must inform the public that our beloved Traci Braxton has passed to heaven after a year of private treatment for esophageal cancer.”

Surratt held a wake for Braxton last week, but her sisters – Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, Trina Braxton-Scales and Towanda Braxton – and her mother, Evelyn Braxton, were not in attendance.

Surratt told Page Six that his father-in-law and brother-in-law “dropped by.”

The Braxton family is scheduled to hold their own private memorial service on April 2, Traci’s 51st birthday.

Toni Braxton appeared virtually on the Tamron Hall show on Tuesday, where she seemingly confirmed the memorial service.

“Her birthday is coming up – the second – and my sisters and I are going to celebrate it and have a big Traci day… So, I’m looking forward to it,” Braxton told Hall.

Representatives for Toni Braxton did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
