Taylor Swift shows her affection to Simone Biles for using her song at US Olympic qualifiers

Simone Biles is hoping to compete in the Paris Olympics for the third time this summer, and she has a superstar fan cheering her on from afar: Taylor Swift.

The gymnast, who has already won seven medals at the Games in her career, performed a medley that included Swift’s song “…Ready For It?” during her floor exercise at the U.S. Olympic qualifiers in Minneapolis on Friday.

Biles finished the day leading her peers with a total score of 58.900.

Swift took the time to show her affection for the gymnast on social media during her Eras Tour stop in Dublin this weekend.

“I’ve seen this so many times and I’m still not ready. She’s ready for it though👏👏👏🥇🇺🇸❤️,” wrote Swift, who once moved Biles to tears about her video tribute to the gymnast during the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Biles, who ended her floor routine with Travis Scott’s “DELRESTO (ECHOES)” featuring Beyoncé, began performing the Swift-accompanied medley at the 2024 Core Hydration Classic last month.

The gymnast told NBC that her agent suggested Swift perform in the new floor exercise, choreographed by French dancer Gregory Milan.

“Then I found this song by Beyoncé that I really liked and we did a kind of collaboration… I love Taylor Swift and I love Beyoncé… Those are my girls,” Biles said.

Biles is expected to join the U.S. Olympic roster in Paris after the second day of women’s qualifying on Sunday.
