Taylor Swift tells the surprising story behind the hit album “Folklore”

Taylor Swift thrilled her fans during her Eras tour stop in Dublin on Saturday.

During the second night of her shows in Dublin, Swift revealed the inspiration behind the 2020 album folklore.

The Blank space The singer described how the album’s fictional world was meant to resemble the Irish landscape and culture.

After the performance of Cardigan out of folkloreSwift told the audience: “I imagined the world of the album to be similar to that of Ireland. A narrative with many different characters. That’s what you have in mind. The storytelling is very Irish.”

“When I made this album, I wasn’t in Ireland two days after the pandemic started, when I started Folklore. So I had to make an album where the fantasy world I pretended to go to every day while I was writing it… I have to be honest, it felt a bit like Ireland,” said the exile added the singer.

The Dublin shows were special for the Grammy winner, who said, “Folklore belongs to you, people,” expressing her deep connection to Ireland.

After Dublin, Swift will continue her tour in Amsterdam and other European cities, concluding with five shows in London this August.
