Annabelle Davis from “Hollyoaks” releases emotional statement on the death of her mother

Hollyoaks star Annabelle Davis has paid tribute to her mother in an emotional statement following her death last month.

Samantha Davis, the wife of Star Wars actor Warwick Davis, died on March 24 at the age of 53. Her husband announced her death in a statement.

The couple, who married in 1991, have children together, Annabelle and son Harrison, who followed their father into acting. Annabelle appeared in the Channel 4 soap opera as Lacey Lloyd. Sadly, they lost their first two babies, Lloyd in 1991 and another baby who was stillborn.

After Samantha’s death, her children said, “Her love and happiness have carried us throughout our lives. Mom is our best friend and we are honored to have experienced love like hers.”

Samantha co-founded the dwarfism charity Little People UK in 2012, whose aim is to “provide friendship and support to people with dwarfism, their families and friends, and to help them build positive futures”.

She also appeared alongside her husband in the Harry Potter series, playing a goblin in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, alongside Warwick, who starred as Professor Filius Flitwick in the popular wizarding series.

In a statement seen by the BBC, Warwick said his wife’s death had “left a huge gap in our lives as a family” and he “misses her hugs”.

He described Samantha, whom he met on the set of the 1988 George Lucas film Willow, as his “most trusted confidante and ardent supporter of everything I did in my career.”

“She was a unique character, always saw the bright side of life, she had a wicked sense of humor and always laughed at my bad jokes,” he continued. “With her by my side I was sure I could achieve anything, it was like I had a superpower.”

“Without Sammy, there would have been no Tenable quiz show and no Willow series. No third season of Idiot Abroad.”

He said Samantha convinced Ricky Gervais to include Warwick in Karl Pilkington’s travel series and said she was “passionate about helping people without judgement”.

“She had time and an open ear for everyone,” he concluded.
