Iran threatens Israel with “war of annihilation” over possible attack on Lebanon

Over the weekend, Iran threatened Israel with a “devastating war” if it launched a large-scale attack in Lebanon.

“Iran considers the Zionist regime’s propaganda of attacking Lebanon as psychological warfare. However, if it escalates into full-scale military aggression, a devastating war will follow. All options, including the full participation of all resistance fronts, are on the table,” the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations posted on social media.

On Friday, Hezbollah continued its attacks on northern Israel, firing dozens of rockets and three drones, raising alarm in the coastal city of Nahariya and other towns.

The chairman of the Mateh Asher Regional Council, Moshe Davidovich, criticized the government: “While the government is trying to reach an agreement in the north, Nasrallah is once again proving that he is in charge. Families sitting at the Shabbat table are forced to spend Shabbat in emergency shelters and safe rooms.”

The Israel Defense Forces said Friday evening that about 25 missiles had been identified flying from Lebanon toward the Western Galilee and Galilee Panhandle areas. No injuries were reported. Baruch Hashem, However, a building in western Galilee was damaged.
