Filming has officially wrapped on Snow White. The classic fairy tale, first brought to life by Disney in its groundbreaking 1937 animated film, has seen various adaptations over the decades. Now that filming has wrapped on the live-action remake, audiences are captivated by this new version.

Oscar winner Rachel Zegler stars in the live-action adaptation of Snow White, setting the stage for an experience that will captivate longtime fans and newcomers alike.

The production of Snow White faced its own challenges during the WGA and SAG strikes, as the film was scheduled to air last March. However, due to the strikes, parts of the film had to be reshot, as the majority of the film was originally scheduled to shoot in 2022.

Earlier this week, Zegler announced on her Instagram stories that production on the film had officially wrapped. “This is a wrap on ‘Snow White’ and I’m so damn proud and emotional,” she wrote. “I love these people so much.” The post has since expired, but a fan account shared a screenshot on Twitter. You can check it out below:

Zegler mentions in an NME article how scared she was to play the role of Snow White. “I was terrified, terrified, terrified,” she repeats, “because I’m playing the first one. The blueprint of all Disney princesses dates back to 1937. Snow White. You have to have so many conversations beforehand. You’re going to cut your hair and learn to dance with all these fake animals and things that don’t exist. It was a lot of pressure.”

The story of Snow White is a story of love, jealousy and the triumph of good over evil. Thanks to advances in technology and visual effects, viewers can expect a visually spectacular interpretation of the triumph over the evil queen, played by the talented Gal Gadot.

In an article in VOGUE, Gadot explains:

“I don’t have a favorite type of character. I think it was so much fun playing the Evil Queen. There was something so wonderful about that role because it’s a fairy tale. It’s Disney’s first villain. And because it’s a musical, I was able to expand my performance and make it so much more dramatic and alive that it was just wonderful. I enjoyed it, and I changed my voice and did all these different things. And it was just super fun, and I can’t wait to see it. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.”

The live-action film “Snow White” is scheduled to hit theaters on March 21, 2025.
