BTS’ V to release photobook next month
June 26 (UPI) – V of the K-pop supergroup BTS will present a photo book titled Type 1, next month to enjoy some rest before his military service, his agency said on Wednesday.
The photo book, which documents V’s time away from his busy life as a global pop star, is set to be released on July 9, according to BigHit Music.
It includes 224 pages full of pictures and experiences that V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, wants to share with his fans, collectively known as ARMY.
The project is special because V was heavily involved in its creation, from choosing the locations and title to designing the book’s inserts, including bookmarks and photo stickers.
The announcement was accompanied by a main poster posted on BTS’ official social media accounts, which shows V leaning against a wall in a relaxed pose, reflecting the theme of calm that the photobook aims to convey.
V is currently serving in the military. He will finish his service and be discharged in June of next year.
